Dr. Robert A. Anders is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is also co-director of the Tumor Microenvironment Laboratory in the Bloomberg Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency, gastrointestinal and liver pathology fellowship, immunology post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Anders has been at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for the last decade where he practices gastrointestinal and liver pathology and runs an independently-funded research lab. His research interests focus on the pathophysiology of tumor immunology.
